NHL-size ice with a walking track overhead
The Cavan Monaghan Community Centre at 986 County Road 10 in Millbrook is built around an NHL-size ice pad, 85 by 200 feet, with seven spacious dressing rooms. The ice is in from September to the end of March.
An indoor walking and running track circles above the ice, with complimentary lockers for its users. The building also holds a community hall seating 150, a meeting room and a studio and fitness area, and it is automated throughout, with internet access and AV equipment in the hall and meeting room.
The Township’s Vision 2035 parks and recreation plan includes work on the centre’s remaining lands, guided by a task force Council set up in June 2025. The first phase lists four outdoor volleyball courts with a pathway leading to them, plus new sod, trees and shrubs.
