The Roger Bellwood Arena and Gord Innes Community Centre, opened in 2012

Fenelon Falls' first arena was built in the 1890s. The community rallied to build a cement block arena in the late 1960s, but although it was meant to be a permanent solution it tended to mould, and by the late 1980s its dressing rooms were too small for the minor hockey teams of the day. A study commissioned by the Rotary Club found overwhelming interest in a new arena.

Rotarian Gord Innes advocated for a community centre large enough for weddings, shows and public events, and in 1991 the Fenelon Area Community and Recreation Centre Committee formed to design the arena and raise the money for it. In 2002 the committee hired RAI Architects to plan a facility with an arena, curling club and community centre.

The new facility officially opened on October 23, 2012. It is formally named the Roger Bellwood Arena and Gord Innes Community Centre: the arena for Roger Bellwood, who led the project for many years but died in 2009 before it was finished. The arena has an NHL-sized rink with seating for 280, and the old arena was demolished in January 2016.
