Booking & check-in
Last winter the pond hours were Monday to Friday 10 am to 9 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 9 pm (hours change with weather and ice conditions); lights go off at 9 pm. 2026/27 hours are not posted yet.
The municipal skating pond behind the maintenance building, between the High School fields and Wentworth School, is split into two sections; the back section is mainly used for ice hockey. Benches are provided for changing into skates.
Ice conditions depend on the weather, so the pond opens day to day. Status is posted at the top of the town's skating page by 12 pm on weekdays, with weekend status posted Fridays by 4 pm.
