Prince Albert's twin-arena leisure centre, opened in 2025

The Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre is the largest recreational infrastructure project in Prince Albert's history. It sits on 25 acres of serviced land at Marquis Road and 6th Avenue East, within an 80-acre commercial development by locally owned Signature Development Corporation. Construction began in July 2022 and was completed in February 2025, with support from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program and the City funding the rest, and the centre opened to the public on September 5, 2025.

Its twin arenas cover 77,159 square feet, with more seating, larger ice surfaces and more dressing rooms than the older Kinsmen and Steuart arenas. The North Arena seats 510 and the South Arena 264. The two new sheets brought the city's total to four artificial ice surfaces, and the Steuart Arena was closed as the City looked to meet demand for ice more efficiently.

Everything is under one roof, so families can move easily between the arenas, the 47,000-square-foot aquatics area and the commercial spaces. The next phase plans a 4,500-seat Convention & Cultural Event Centre in the Yard District.
