A 1969 state-owned rink in North Adams, named for Vietnam veteran Peter Foote and managed by the city.
Currently out of season DCR lists the rink as closed for the season. The 2026–27 public skating dates have not been posted yet. Official schedule update
The Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink was first constructed in 1969. It honors Peter Foote, a North Adams native and Vietnam War veteran. The rink is owned by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and managed by the City of North Adams.
Northern Berkshire Youth Hockey plays its home games here. The building also had one season of professional hockey: the Berkshire Battalion, a minor league team in the Federal Hockey League, played at the rink during the 2014-15 season.
In 2026 DCR funded a replacement of the roof, which had exceeded its design life. The project replaces about 36,000 square feet of roofing with a new PVC membrane and new insulation, at a cost of just over half a million dollars.
