A 2,879-seat 1967 Centennial arena, expanded in 2007, home of the WHL Swift Current Broncos
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The InnovationPlex was built in 1967 as a Canadian Centennial project and was first known as the Centennial Civic Centre. In 2007 city council approved a $14 million expansion, and the hockey-curling complex it paid for was finished that fall. Innovation Credit Union now holds the naming rights.
Today it is a 2,879-seat multi-purpose arena with one 200-by-85-foot ice surface and more than 40,000 square feet of rentable space. The WHL Swift Current Broncos, the AAA Swift Current Legionnaires, the Swift Current Curling Club and the South West Roller Derby Association all call it home.
The building hosted the 2010 World Women's Curling Championship and the 2016 Ford World Women's Curling Championship, and its arena floor also takes concerts, lacrosse games and circuses. The City put a new floor into the arena in 2017, and an elevator and accessible washrooms were added later.
