Adrian College's rink, opened in 2007

Arrington Ice Arena opened on October 19, 2007, when Adrian College's men's varsity team beat Potsdam State 9-1 in its first game, in front of a packed crowd that had also come to see the Stanley Cup on loan from the Hockey Hall of Fame. The $5.5 million arena is named for Dr. Robyn Arrington Jr. and his brother, Col. Harold Arrington, Adrian alumni who gave $3 million on behalf of their family.

The building has one NHL regulation-size sheet, 500 chair-back seats, a media press box, a concession stand and a pro shop. It is home ice for Adrian's men's and women's NCAA Division III hockey teams, its ACHA men's and women's teams and its synchronized and figure skating teams. The independent Adrian Over-30 Hockey Association also skates here.

The college built the arena to be used by local residents as well, and its schedule includes community open skates, learn-to-skate programs for children and adults, and hockey for a range of ages and abilities.
