Harbourfront Centre's Skate by the Lake rink, expanded in 2025 with Jumpstart
Currently out of season Harbourfront Centre's Skate by the Lake page says the rink is closed for the season and still shows last winter's run (28 November 2025 to 1 March 2026); no 2026/27 dates are posted yet. Official schedule update
Skate by the Lake is the community skating rink at Harbourfront Centre, which describes itself as Toronto's waterfront campus for arts, culture, learning and recreation. In November 2025 the centre announced a three-year partnership with Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities as its official recreation partner, starting with a significant expansion of the rink.
The expanded rink was described as having more space for families, friends and kids of all ages, with improved site entry and adaptive skate options. Beyond daily public skating, community programs delivered through Jumpstart were planned to introduce curling, hockey and other recreational activities.
The 2025/26 rink opened to the public on 28 November and ran to 1 March. Harbourfront Centre's page now says the rink is closed for the season and has not posted 2026/27 dates.
