Bracknell's ice rink opened on 4 May 2021 on Western Road, after the John Nike rink closed
Ozone Ice Rink opened its doors to the public on Tuesday 4 May 2021 on Western Road, Bracknell, billed as a new state of the art ice arena. Plans had been given the green light late in 2020, following the closure of the John Nike ice rink and ski slope the previous July.
All abilities were welcome from the start, whether skaters wanted to skate for fun, train as figure skaters or practise hockey. The rink opened seven days a week with online booking, and it offered a wide variety of learn to skate courses, from mums and toddlers to adult classes including coffee mornings and edge classes.
Ozone still describes itself as a state of the art ice training facility, with Skate UK classes inclusive of mixed ages in line with British Ice Skating guidelines and a monthly Learn to Skate membership that replaces fixed-term courses.
