A covered rink in Alexandra Gardens

Windsor On Ice invites skaters to enjoy a skate in the historic Alexandra Gardens and take in the fun of the fair. The main ice rink is fully covered, and the viewing area, the festive food and some attractions are also under cover, so non-skaters can stay warm while watching the family on the ice.

The covered indoor rink operates in all weather conditions, and sessions are only ever cancelled for exceptional high winds. In 2026 the rink is open from Friday 13 November to 3 January, with a fairground alongside in Alexandra Gardens.

Dedicated Tiny Tuesdays sessions on 17 and 24 November and 1, 8 and 15 December are very calm sessions with no fast skaters, and the penguin and snowman skate aids are put on the main rink free of charge. The rink is also raising money through Santa's post box for Swan Support.
