Get to know this rink.

Optimist and George Blundun share a building in Glendale, beside Optimist Athletic Park. Each has an 185-by-85-foot ice surface. Optimist seats 200 spectators and George Blundun seats 300; both have cold vending machines and a meeting room for up to 35 people.

Pay attention to the sheet name on your session. The city’s public skate listings name the specific sheet, for example George Blundun. The combined facility listing keeps the two sheets together while the schedule identifies which ice you will use.

Public skating is drop-in during the city’s published sessions. Adult admission is CA$6.30, children five and under are free, and the CA$12.90 family rate covers the city’s defined family group. CSA-approved helmets are strongly recommended. General facility hours do not mean either sheet is open for public skating.
