Two arenas at Village Square Leisure Centre

Village Square Leisure Centre is a 5.5-acre indoor leisure centre in the Pineridge community of northeast Calgary, and alongside Southland Leisure Centre it is one of two leisure centres the City of Calgary owns and operates.

Its two artificial ice arenas share an observation deck and a large fireplace near the second arena. Village Square Arena #1 measures 185 by 85 feet with room for 120 spectators, and the Wally Kozak Arena is NHL size at 200 by 85 feet with room for 50. Both are booked for minor and adult hockey, ringette, figure skating and broomball.

The leisure centre closed for upgrades and repairs on August 31, 2026, with work planned until the end of 2027, while the City lists the two arenas as open for private bookings, skating lessons and public skating.
