This City of Calgary site pairs two arenas, each with a 185-by-85-foot ice surface: Stew Hendry Arena seats 150 and Henry Viney Arena seats 400. Renfrew Aquatic & Fitness Centre and Renfrew Athletic Park are next door.
The City's drop-in schedule includes Public Skate at Stew Hendry, 50+ Leisure Skate at Henry Viney, and adult shinny at Stew Hendry that players book online. Public skating needs no advance booking, and skaters 17 and under must wear a helmet.

2026 City of Calgary public skating & shinny single visit: adult (18-64) CA$6.30, senior (65+) CA$4.50, youth (13-17) CA$3.20, child (6-12) CA$2.80, preschool (0-5) free, family CA$12.90, single-parent family CA$9.20. All fees include GST; 10x passes sold.
Adult drop-in hockey (shinny) is for ages 18 and older, and players reserve their spot online through the City's Live and Play site. Each game is capped at 22 players plus two goalies, and full hockey gear is recommended with a CSA-approved helmet required.
At City public skates, skaters 17 and under must wear a helmet (CSA-approved hockey helmet recommended) and it is recommended for adults. Children under eight must be accompanied on the ice by someone 14 or older. Skates or ice cleats are required, and skating aids, sledges and wheelchairs are permitted on public-skate ice.
