Home of the EHC Bad Aibling AibDogs, founded in 1981
The ice stadium in Bad Aibling holds 2,000 people and is the home of the EHC Bad Aibling, known as the AibDogs. The club was founded in 1981 as an ice sports club, but hockey in the town is older: a hockey section already existed when TuS Bad Aibling was founded on 14 February 1946.
In summer 2002 the club's board decided not to join the ESBG and so gave up further play in the Oberliga. The team's nickname then changed from Dragodiles to AibDogs.
The club fields a first team, a reserve side and a women's team, with more than 250 active players from the learn-to-skate school up to the first team. It has 51 active and 50 passive members, and a supporters' association exists to promote all of its teams.
