Ice hockey matches of the Balinger Eisbären and other clubs take place in the hall regularly and can be followed from the spectator stand, and the hall refers people who want to play to the club. In March 2026 the Eisbären won the Eishockey-Landesliga Baden-Württemberg for the first time in the club's history, with a 5:4 home win over EC Eppelheim in front of about 600 spectators.
The hall's cooling system has had its problems: in November 2024 a defect in the cooling plant upset the Eisbären's plans for their first home game of the season.
