A town hockey stadium that opens its ice to the public

The winter stadium in Blansko holds about 1,800 spectators, 300 of them seated, around a 29.4 by 59.4 metre ice sheet. The rink is enclosed by boards with protective glass, and the building holds the changing rooms, showers and sanitary facilities. A new sound system was installed in 2019.

The stadium is used mainly for hockey training and competitions, hockey camps, public skating and hire to schools, individuals and groups. It operates from July to March, from 07:00 to 20:00, and the skate-sharpening room is open on weekdays from 14:00 to 20:00 and at weekends from 8:00 to 20:00.

During public skating, sticks and pucks are not allowed on the ice. The operator warns that the public-skating time can change from one day to the next, so the current ice plan should always be checked before a visit.
