Currently out of season The rink's own news post says the Jégkert - Budai Jégpálya opens for the 2026-2027 season on Friday 23 October 2026; its price page still says prices are coming soon. Official schedule update
The Budai Jégpálya, also called the Jégkert, is a covered rink measuring 15 by 30 metres, surrounded by boards and a puck-stopping net. It stands on the renovated Széna tér, behind the old city wall and across from Mammut 2, and its season runs from the beginning of October to the end of April.
The ice is resurfaced every hour, or every one to one and a half hours during public sessions. A former shooting-range building beside the rink holds heated, lockable changing rooms and showers. Skating aids such as penguins, cubes and slide frames can be hired, and amateur hockey players get goals both on rented ice and during public ice, although hockey is allowed on public ice only when few people are skating.
Besides open skating the rink runs curling, and in January 2026 it took part in the nationwide Jégpályák Éjszakája night. When the ice is out, the Jégkert's covered garden takes the rink's place.
