Japan's westernmost 400 m speed-skating oval

Gifu Crystal Park Ena Skate Rink opened on 3 December 2005 and is the westernmost 400 m speed-skating oval in Japan, easy to reach and little troubled by wind. In winter it serves speed skating and general skating; outside winter it becomes a multi-purpose venue for inline skating, futsal and other light sports and events.

The oval is an international-standard 400 m double track, with a 30 by 60 m central rink inside it that is used for curling and other activities. The stand holds about 2,000 people, and the athletes' annexe was built in December 2011 with a sports-lottery (toto) grant.

The centre house holds a dining hall, an athletes' room, a multi-purpose room, meeting rooms, an event lobby and an exhibition lobby, and the ice carries a wall-art photo spot with angel wings and a heart, set up so that visitors can take a souvenir picture.
