Eisbahn am Hains Freital

Public skating at Eisbahn am Hains Freital: the next 7 days

Currently out of season The season has ended and no dates for winter 2026/27 are posted yet. The rink's pages say 'Die Saison ist beendet' and show every opening time as temporarily closed; they describe the season as running from late November to March, so no public skating sessions are listed. Official schedule update

An ice rink built with a Freital leisure centre in 1997

The Hains began as the Schwimmhalle Hainsberg, opened in 1978 because there were too few baths around Freital. Building work on a larger centre began in March 1997, and the ice rink was the first part finished, in the same winter. A few months later the centre took its present name, and the August 2002 flood did not spare it, as it stands directly on the Rote Weißeritz.

The rink is a covered surface of 2,200 square metres, with more than 600 pairs of rental skates, sharpening and a separate practice area for beginners. The programme includes an Eisdisco, Eisstockschießen for company events and introductions to other ice sports. Snacks and hot drinks are served at the rink's Austrian-style Schirmbar. The leisure centre is a project of TWF GmbH.
