One of Germany's largest skating complexes, with 8,000 m² of ice
With 8,000 square metres of ice on three surfaces, the EisSport & EventPark in Grefrath is one of the largest skating complexes in Germany. The multi-purpose hall has 1,800 square metres of ice and is the training and match venue for the ice hockey and figure skating clubs.
The covered outdoor tent has another 1,800 square metres, and its distinctive roof gives skaters the feeling of gliding under open sky while sheltered from wind and weather. The heart of the park is the 400-metre outdoor ring, where the speed-skating club ECG also trains.
Four ice sports clubs train here, in men's ice hockey, figure skating and speed skating. On home-game days of the GEG first ice hockey team, public skating in the hall ends at 18:30.
