Krefeld keeps public skating going in the old Rheinlandhalle until the new ice halls open.
Public skating at Rheinlandhalle Krefeld: the next 7 days
Currently out of season The city's page says public skating continues in the Rheinlandhalle until the new Rheinlandhallen are finished, but it gives no 2026/27 dates or hours (they are on the city's ticket portal, which prints none yet), so no sessions are listed here until it does. The municipal Rheinlandhalle, public ice for a city of ice-sport tradition
Ice sport is firmly rooted in Krefeld, a city with a long skating tradition. The existing Rheinlandhalle on the Westparkstraße is open for public skating, and it will stay so until the new Rheinlandhallen are finished.
The hall has a regulation ice-hockey surface and stands, and it is the training and home venue of the Krefelder EV 81. Visitors to the public session find a signposted entrance on the left, directly on the street, and during the school holidays the offer is extended with special opening hours.
The new Rheinlandhallen under construction will have two ice surfaces of 60 by 26 metres, stands for 1,000 spectators and a service block with changing rooms, and are planned for the 2027 ice season. Across the road the Yayla-Arena completes the city ice-sport offer.
