Opened on 6 September 2002 with Teemu Selänne among the founders; home of HCK Salamat
Varuboden-areena is an ice hockey and multi-purpose hall in Kirkkonummi, opened on 6 September 2002. Hockey player Teemu Selänne was one of the founders of the hall, and a reserved space bearing his name is marked in the yard. The hall is owned by Kirkkonummen Monitoimihalli Oy, whose largest owners are Community Centre Service Oy and the municipality of Kirkkonummi.
The arena stands in Kirkkonummi's sports park close to the town centre and holds about 1,000 spectators, with seats and standing places. A bowling alley is on the upper floor.
The home team is HCK Salamat, and the Kirkkonummen taitoluisteluklubi, the figure skating club, trains in the hall. The roller hockey club Kirkkonummen Thunder, which played in the national roller hockey series and won a Finnish championship, has also used it as its home.
