Rebuilt while open with new dressing rooms, lights and an ice resurfacer ahead of the 2027 youth Winter Games
Klatovy is one of the venues of the Czech Winter Olympics of Children and Youth, held in the Plzeň Region in January 2027, and its winter stadium hosts the hockey finals. The town and the region together paid for a large reconstruction, which was carried out with the stadium in full operation. Stadiums in Sušice and Domažlice were adapted for the Games too.
A shop was replaced by four new dressing rooms, each now with its own shower and toilet, which they lacked before. The corridors, reception, sound system and lighting are new, and the lighting meets the requirements for international competitions and television. The steel structure got two new coats of paint meant to last at least another 20 years.
The stadium also has a modern electric ice resurfacer, bought from equipment used at the Winter Olympics in Milan. Capacity stays at 2,600 spectators.
