Rebuilt by the commune after closing in 2019

The rink at Les Deux Alpes is a fully open-air sheet of Olympic dimensions, part of the Croisette pool-and-rink complex. The complex had been closed to the public since 2019 when the commune became its owner in March 2024, after negotiations with the former managers, Deux Alpes Loisirs and the Compagnie des Alpes.

Renovation work began in mid-September 2025. The refit gave the rink approved boards so that it can host ice hockey matches and training, and an eco-designed refrigeration system whose waste heat was planned to warm the pool water. The rink is set up for ice skating in winter and roller skating in summer.

The commune's stated aim was equipment for all users, from families to athletes, schools and associations. The rink kept its Olympic status, it is fully accessible with special sledges for people with reduced mobility, and a regular unsupervised slot is reserved for ice hockey players of every level.
