Opened in December 2017 after the 2004 fire
The Patinoire de Nîmes opened to the public on 22 December 2017. It replaced the rink that a fire destroyed in 2004 and was built on the site of the former Marcel-Rouvière stadium, on avenue Georges-Dayan. It is a municipal sports facility run by the city.
The building covers 3,000 square metres and holds a 56 by 26 metre ice surface, about 1,456 square metres, with 300 seats in the stands and four changing rooms. It has the rooms required for competitions, including anti-doping and referee rooms, and its approval allows regional-level hockey.
Two clubs are permanent residents. Kroko Sports introduces members to ice hockey and fields a Division 3 team. The Club Olympique de Patinage Nîmois offers figure skating for leisure and competition, and counts nearly 400 members who practise figure skating and ballet on ice.
