Opened in 2001 with three ice surfaces
The PSD Bank Nürnberg ARENA broke ground on 26 August 1999 and opened on 15 February 2001, replacing the Linde-Stadion of 1936. The hall has three ice surfaces, or alternatively 1,900 square metres of event floor. Major rebuilding took place in 2011, and since 1 July 2025 the PSD Bank Nürnberg has been the naming sponsor.
The Nürnberg Ice Tigers play their DEL home games here, and the handball club HC Erlangen has played its Bundesliga home games in the arena since 2014. For ice hockey the stadium holds 7,672 people. The 2001 ice hockey World Championship was staged here alongside Cologne and Hannover.
In the skating season the ice surfaces of the performance centre are regularly open to the public, and the Eisdisco has long been a fixed part of the programme.
