A 1995 hall on an old open-air hockey rink

Grünerhallen is an ice hall on Dælenenga in Oslo, opened on 6 October 1995 as the thirtieth ice hall in Norway. It stands where an open-air ice hockey rink once lay, and eight of the ice hockey games of the 1952 Olympics were played on that ground. The hall holds about 600 spectators, 400 of them standing, and inside it has four changing rooms, club rooms and an office for the ice crew, plus a small kiosk and cafeteria.

Grüner Ishockey calls the hall its home ground and a meeting place for hockey fans of all ages in the middle of Grünerløkka, and Grüner IL runs it. Away from hockey, the hall also serves as an exam venue for the BI business school. Public ice is on Sundays, helmets are required, sticks and pucks are banned, and the club's cafeteria says it serves the best waffles in town.
