A private ice stadium from 2009 with two league-size covered rinks
ICE ARENA Plzeň, also called Zimní stadion Košutka, was built in 2009 and belongs to a private owner. It has two covered ice sheets of the same size, 28 by 58 metres, which match the parameters of a league hockey rink, and two Zamboni resurfacers from the United States look after the ice.
The building has 14 spacious changing rooms, two of them set aside for public skating, and on the first floor a performance centre for dry-land training with a gym, a shooting range and a skate zone. Hall A has a stand with 255 seats.
Besides classic public skating the arena holds public sessions with hockey sticks, known as pond hockey. In the afternoons a skating school under its partner Pilsen Wolves is available.
