Poznań's first artificial rink since 1994, opened in February 2001 beside Lake Malta
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The Malta rink was opened in February 2001 by Poznańskie Ośrodki Sportu i Rekreacji beside Lake Malta. It first stood on ul. Krańcowa, between the finish line of the regatta course and the hangars, and from the 2004/05 season it moved to an easier place to reach on ul. Jana Pawła II. It was the first artificial rink in Poznań since the Bogdanka rink closed in 1994.
Malta is a seasonal rink with a 600 square metre surface, running from about mid-November to the beginning of April. It has been covered by a special tent since the 2001/02 season, at the start of the regatta course.
The rink counted more than 43,000 customers in a recent season. Besides ordinary skating, the rink holds ice parties and skating courses.
