The Patinoire Olympique in Pralognan-la-Vanoise was created for the 1992 Winter Olympics, when the venue hosted the curling competitions, then a demonstration sport. Its ice measures 30 by 60 metres, one of the largest in the region, and the arena is a 2,300-seat hall.
The rink is part of Le Cristal, the Centre sportif de la Vanoise, which also has a curling lane, a multisports hall, a fitness room, a spa, a swimming pool with a slide, billiards and a bowling alley. The building now serves as the recreation centre for the resort.
The Pralognan Artistique Club teaches figure skating from the age of 4 at every level, from leisure skaters to competitors, and gives its skaters the chance to take part in galas and competitions.
