Currently out of season Södertälje kommun's page for public skating in its ice halls says its timetable runs from today for 30 days and is updated daily, and on 4 October 2026 that timetable lists no public-skating times at Scaniarinken or Månsbrorinken (the only hall with times is Järna IP ishall). The page says there are often more times during school holidays. Checked on 4 October 2026. Official schedule update
Scaniarinken in Södertälje, at one time AXA Sports Center and nicknamed Templet, was inaugurated on 2 October 1970 with an ice hockey match in which Södertälje SK beat Djurgårdens IF 5-2. The ice hall stayed in municipal ownership until Södertälje SK bought it in 2005.
After a total renovation the naming rights were sold to Lantmännen, who called the arena AXA Sports Center; the rebuilding was finished for the 2005/2006 hockey season. The complex is almost entirely glazed, with VIP lounges and a large gym.
In autumn 2014 the municipality bought the arena back from SSK Arena AB for 85 million kronor, and Södertälje SK later announced that the hockey arena would go by the name Scaniarinken. It is the home arena of Södertälje SK and holds about 6,200 spectators, with about 200 in the adjoining Månsbrorinken; both rinks are used for ice hockey and figure skating.
