Szarvas's real-ice rink, run by the local ice-hockey association, with a buffet, skate hire and lessons
Currently out of season The rink's home page still shows last season's news (opening on 25 October 2025 and holiday hours from 20 December 2025 to 4 January 2026); no 2026/27 opening date is posted yet. Official schedule update
The Szarvas ice rink is run by the town's ice-hockey association, which owns the rink and describes it as 800 square metres of real ice. A small buffet building stands beside the ice, so there is somewhere warm to rest between rounds.
Public skating is offered at set public times, and the buffet serves hot chocolate, tea and mulled wine for chilly days. Group and individual skating lessons are available for children and adults, and companies can book the ice for closed events when they reserve in advance.
Because the rink belongs to the hockey association, it also trains young hockey players and hires out free ice to teams. Last season the rink opened at the end of October, so check its page before travelling in autumn.
