A covered rink more than 60 m long, laid across a pond

Ice Paradise is an energy-efficient covered rink more than 60 metres long and over 600 square metres, laid across the width of a pond in Leidschendam, so that visitors at the water's edge look out over the ice.

The organisers call it the largest and longest temporary rink in the Netherlands and the winter attraction of the municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg and its surroundings. Many schools come to skate, and primary pupils can use the penguin skating aids free during school skating. Children's parties are held regularly.

Groups can add games on the ice: fun curling, Party On Ice, ice carving and ice races, including human ice bowling, in which a person on a sledge is fired at a set of pins.
