A covered rink in Turin's Massari sports centre, born after the 2006 Winter Olympics
The Palaghiaccio Massari, on Via Massari in Turin, is a covered skating rink that grew out of the 2006 Winter Olympics and has become a reference point for ice skating in the city. It is part of the Centro Polisportivo Massari, an association affiliated with UISP whose mission is sport for all.
Besides free skating, with background music and plenty of room, the rink offers figure skating courses and private lessons for beginners and advanced skaters, and it is available for themed parties and special events.
In spring 2026 the centre said the boards around the rink had worn out after years of service and needed to be replaced completely. It opened a fundraiser for the work and chose not to raise its course fees, describing the rink as a historic social space for the city of Turin.
