Rocklundahallen, rebuilt in 2007

ABB Arena Nord is the rebuilt ice hall that was known as Rocklundahallen until 2007. Rocklundahallen was finished in 1965 and was one of the first ice halls in Sweden. In January 1967 it hosted the final of the men's handball World Championship, played in Sweden that year.

In 2006 the municipality of Västerås decided to sell the Rocklunda area to private interests, and the decision included a complete refurbishment of the old hall, which had not been rebuilt since it opened. The new hall was ready before the 2007 season and took the name ABB Arena Nord. It holds 4,496 spectators, with 2,453 fixed seats and 1,835 standing places, on a floor of 1,800 square metres (30 by 60 metres) with 12 metres of clear height.

It is one of the two big indoor arenas at Rocklunda IP in Västerås. The area's other ice facilities include a smaller indoor hall, Mimerhallen, and an artificially frozen rink with a roof and one open long side, called Månskensrinken.
