A 1,800 m2 rink at Shin-Yokohama, home of the Yokohama GRITS
The Skate Center is an indoor rink completed in October 1990, with an international-standard 30 by 60 metre sheet of 1,800 square metres. The rink lists a capacity of 2,446, of which 912 are fixed seats, 480 bench seats and 1,054 standing places.
It is built for events as well as public skating: Prince Ice World, ice hockey matches and ice shows are named as its main uses. It was once the home rink of the SEIBU Prince Rabbits, and since the 2020-21 season it has been the home of the Yokohama GRITS in the Asia League.
Cosmetics maker Kosé took the naming rights in October 2017 for three years, which is where the KOSÉ name comes from. Inside the building, the skate shop West sells skating equipment and hockey goods, and food may be eaten inside the building although none is sold there.
