A youth arena built through a 2011 community campaign

ICON Sports Center was established in December 2014 as a 91,500-square-foot arena with two USA Hockey-size sheets, Rydellcars Rink and The Judd Rink. The Legends & Heroes Campaign, formed in 2011 by community volunteers with Grand Forks Blue Line Club and Park District representatives, worked to build it beside Choice Health & Fitness.

Each rink seats 618 spectators including standing room, and the building has 10 team locker rooms. Upstairs are a community room with a viewing deck over both sheets, a dryland training room used for Choice Health & Fitness performance training and the Grand Forks Youth Hockey Association's business offices. The Park District's administrative main office is in the building too.

The arena was a co-host location for the 2016 IIHF Men's U18 World Championship Tournament, along with the Ralph Engelstad Arena.
