Hershey's arena since 2002, 306,000 square feet under the Giant Food Stores name
Loading public skate, freestyle, and stick & puck times for GIANT Center…
GIANT Center is a 10,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and home to the Hershey Bears. The Bears moved here in 2002 from Hersheypark Arena, where they had played since 1938, and they have held the AHL attendance record since 2006. The Bears are a historic AHL team and 13-time Calder Cup champions.
The building is a 306,000 square foot venue, and Giant Food Stores has been its title sponsor since 2000. The Hershey Figure Skating Club, a non-profit member of U.S. Figure Skating, uses it as home ice.
Besides Bears games it hosts concerts, comedy shows, sporting events and PIAA high school state championship events, and it opens for public ice skating on select dates from October to April, alternating with the older Hersheypark Arena, the Bears' home from 1938 until 2002.
