Hudson's first indoor arena, built by the Hudson Hockey Association in 1986, with a second sheet since 2007
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The Hudson Hockey Association began more than 50 years ago on the outdoor ice at Burton Park, where 75 skaters played in 1972 under the guidance of parents and volunteers. It moved indoors in 1980 to a Teflon-coated bubble whose boards came from the New York Rangers, which is why the association wears red, white and blue.
In 1986 the association's 160 young players and the wider community came together to build the town's first ice arena, the Hudson Sports and Civic Center, also known as the Gornick Arena. A second sheet, the Raider Arena, followed in 2007 and was renamed the Karen Drewiske Memorial Arena in 2014; work to connect the two rinks ran from spring 2022 to fall 2023.
Hudson teams have won six boys' and girls' state high school championships since 2001. Off the ice, the building has hosted community events such as Operation Help's used clothing drive.
