Three full-size rinks under one roof, hockey home of the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association
Rockville Ice Arena is a three-sheet building in Montgomery County. All three rinks are full-size and take figure skating, hockey and community skating; two of them have bleacher seating for games and showcases, and twelve locker rooms serve the hockey teams and skating groups that come through.
The arena is the hockey home of the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association and the home rink of the St. John's Cadets, the Bullis Bulldogs and the Landon Bears, MAPHL champions in 2015 and 2016. It is also a rink partner of Team Maryland, a AAA travel organization, and of the Washington Pride, an all-girls travel program that competes in the Junior Women's Hockey League. Adults play through Hockey North America, the largest adult hockey organization in the region, and the USA Warriors run a hockey program here for servicemen and servicewomen wounded in the defense of the United States.
Beyond hockey, the Wheaton Ice Skating Academy trains here with multiple nationally competitive ice dancers, and the United Capital Blades Speedskating Club is coached by a former gold and silver medal-winning coach. The arena has hosted tournaments including Silver Sticks, Super Series and the Junior Women's Hockey League Challenge Cup.
