Added to the zoo's lantern festival in 2024; presented by the Predators in honor of Scott Hamilton
Currently out of season Nashville Zoo's Glow Wild page lists the holiday light show, which includes the outdoor ice rink, as nightly November 13 to January 3, 5 to 9 pm. Official schedule update
The ice rink at Nashville Zoo first appeared in 2024, when Zoolumination, billed as the country's largest lantern festival, added the Smashville Ice Rink. The festival that year began November 14, 2024 and ran through February 9, 2025, and the rink was new for visitors who wanted to skate among the lanterns.
The rink is presented by the Nashville Predators and is in honor of figure skater, Olympic gold medalist and Nashville Zoo board member Scott Hamilton.
In 2026 the zoo replaced Zoolumination with a new holiday event, Glow Wild, which runs nightly from November 13, 2026 through January 3, 2027. It again features an outdoor ice skating rink, presented by the Nashville Predators and in honor of Scott Hamilton. The rink is weather-dependent and may close if temperatures climb above 50 degrees.
