A boardless double-surface rink with community-maintained ice and a rink shack refreshed in 2025-26
For the latest skating dates, check the rink’s official information.
Glebe Memorial Park, also recorded as Glendale Park, has a double-surface outdoor rink with no boards. The ice is community-maintained, and the lights are seasonal.
The rink's fieldhouse, the rink shack, is its public change space. In the 2025-26 season the shack was repaired and painted inside and out, and its keying, automatic light functions and hose location were re-jigged.
The park itself is the subject of expansion advocacy. Since 2020 the Glebe Community Association (GCA) has passed motions recommending that Glebe Memorial Park be extended north to take in the current Chamberlain Avenue. The GCA's Parks Committee has long pressed the city to green the soon-to-be-old Chamberlain Avenue as part of the Chamberlain construction project, enlarging the park in the process.
