Three NHL-size sheets open year-round, home to the Valley Forge Minutemen and Colonials
Oaks Center Ice is a triple-surface ice arena in Oaks, Pennsylvania, with all three sheets built to NHL dimensions. The building keeps its ice in twelve months a year for skating and hockey.
The rink is the home of two long-running youth travel hockey programs. The Valley Forge Minutemen have been the Tier I AAA program at Oaks Center Ice for more than 25 years, and the Valley Forge Colonials, a Tier II program, have delivered competitive hockey for more than 50 years. Between them the travel programs put 15 to 18 teams on the ice in an average season, for players aged 6 to 18 at several skill levels.
Travel hockey is the rink's competitive tier, for players who want to commit more time and energy to improving their game, and it sits alongside the building's own group skating lessons, learn-to-play hockey and adult hockey.
