Hatfield Ice Arena in Colmar, Pennsylvania now carries the name Jefferson Health Arenas at Hatfield Ice, after the health system and the rink became partners in community wellness with the aim of widening access to wellness education and physical activity through skating. The partnership shows up on the calendar as screening events, including a Season Kickoff on September 26 and Thursday-evening summer workshops from July through September. The building also has the Hatfield Ice Mini Rink beside the main ice.
The teams and clubs on the ice include the Genesis Hockey Club, the Lady Patriots, Arcadia Ice Hockey, Villanova Ice Hockey, Scholastic Hockey, Philadelphia Blind Hockey, the BC Admirals special-needs program and the Colonial Skating Club. Youth hockey runs from Kindergarten Hockey up through the Mid Atlantic Showcase Tournaments and the Turkey Bowl, and there is an adult hockey program as well.
The Skating School at Hatfield Ice was recognized by Learn to Skate USA in each season from 2005-06 through 2009-10, and it still runs alongside freestyle sessions and public skating.
