Home of Pueblo's junior hockey since 2019

Pueblo Ice Arena is operated under a lease with the City of Pueblo: City Council approved the lease and management agreement in August 2022, granting a private manager the right to run the building. The arena seats 850 for hockey, and as the Pueblo Ice Arena and Events Center it can hold 3,000 people for concerts and events.

Junior hockey arrived with the Pueblo Bulls, announced as a Western States Hockey League expansion team on September 20, 2018, who have played their home games here since the 2019–20 season. The Bulls moved to the USPHL after one season and joined its National Collegiate Development Conference in 2023. In June 2026 the North American Hockey League announced that the Chippewa Steel franchise would relocate to Pueblo as part of a new Mountain Division; the club took the name Pueblo Peppers that July, and the Peppers play their home games at the arena.

The ice is shared with Pueblo Bulls Youth Hockey, the Pueblo Figure Skating Club, Pueblo County High School, co-ed hockey, the Pueblo Women's Team and the Pueblo Men's League, which was established in 1977.
