A U.S. Olympic Training Site and home of the Broadmoor Skating Club, with public skating and pick-up hockey.
The World Arena Ice Hall is a high-altitude training center in Colorado Springs, a U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Site with two sheets of ice, one NHL and one Olympic, along with jump harnesses, video analysis and a ballet studio. It has been one of the country's top training centers, producing dozens of skating champions and cutting-edge instructors.
The Ice Hall is home to the Broadmoor Skating Club, one of the largest skating clubs in the United States, which has produced more than 65 national champions, including 27 U.S. Senior champions, 3 Olympic champions and 6 World champions. More than 120 hours of ice are dedicated to figure skating each week.
The same complex is home to the Colorado Gold Speedskating Club, the Broadmoor Curling Club, and numerous youth, high school and adult hockey leagues, with public skating and pick-up hockey fitted in around them. Each summer the Summer Skate moves pick-up hockey to an earlier morning slot.
