Bentley's 1965 arena, once home to the Bentley Generals, Allen Cup winners in 2009 and 2013.
The Bentley Arena was first built in 1965, and Reiny McKean, one of the original caretakers of the new rink in 1966, resurfaced it with a hand-pushed Barrel Flooder filled with hot water. That flooder, built from scratch by local fabricator Louis Wine, is now on display as part of an arena history initiative.
The rink was home to the Bentley Generals, now the senior AAA Lacombe Generals, who won the Allen Cup in 2009 and won it again as hosts in 2013. In 2011 Bentley was one of five Kraft Hockeyville finalists, and the town threw an all-day party before the winner was named. Today the building serves Bentley Minor Hockey, the Bentley Skating Club, the Parkland Hockey League, the Bentley School Hockey Academy and adult recreation teams, along with the farmers market and the rodeo.
A partial slab replacement in 2007 left two sections of floor moving differently, and in March 2025 council moved to upgrade the slab, boards and glass. A low-E ceiling and lighting project was completed in June 2026, and games stream as a LiveBarn venue.
