Rochester's four-rink nonprofit iceplex, built in 1998 and renamed Tim Hortons Iceplex in 2023
Tim Hortons Iceplex was built in 1998 on the Monroe Community College campus in Brighton and has carried several names: it was the ESL Sports Centre until 2009 and Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex from 2013 to 2023. In 2023 its owner, the nonprofit Monroe Community Sports Centre Corporation, renamed it Tim Hortons Iceplex under a multi-year partnership, with a grand opening celebration planned for January 2024.
The 176,000-square-foot building holds four NHL-size rinks, including Chick-fil-A Arena with seating for 1,750, plus a physical therapy clinic, a fitness center, the ScorZone Golf Center and a Visit Rochester tourism center. It is home to Nazareth's men's and women's hockey, Bishop Kearney girls' hockey, Rochester Coalition Hockey, Rochester Edge Girls Hockey, the Rochester Ice Cats, St. John Fisher club hockey and the NewEdge Hockey Development Academy, and it hosts hockey tournaments year-round with teams traveling from across the continent.
