Currently out of season The City of Steamboat Springs' page says the free community outdoor rink is closed for the 2025-26 season because warm temperatures damaged the ice, and that the city looks forward to skating again next winter. The rink is a flooded sheet on the Howelsen Hill tennis courts, so it opens only once it freezes; no 2026/27 opening date is posted. Official schedule update
