Calgary's twin arenas, home of the Calalta club

Rose Kohn Arena was built in 1968 and Jimmie Condon Arena in 1983, and neither had a significant renovation until the City of Calgary completed a CA$12.5 million upgrade and reopened them in April 2022. The project expanded the ice at Jimmie Condon, replaced two refrigeration systems with a single, more energy-efficient one and added accessible change rooms.

Jimmie Condon now has an NHL-size 200-by-85-foot surface with spectator seating for 220 and 60, Rose Kohn has a 185-by-85-foot surface, and a barrier-free corridor links the two. The arenas host minor and adult ice sport leagues.

Jimmie Condon is home to the Calalta Figure Skating Club, whose coaches have included Paul Thomas, the 1956 World and European pairs champion with Pamela Weight, and Jeffrey Langdon, a two-time Canadian medallist who placed 12th at the 1998 Winter Olympics and joined the club's staff in 2008. Amanda Billings, once expected to contend for the 2006 Olympics, trained at Calalta as well.
